Results: Two New Cases of COVID-19
Two (2) new cases of COVID-19 were identified out of 253 tests performed Tuesday, May 25. To date, there have been a total of 8,143 officially reported cases of COVID-19 with 139 deaths, 48 cases in active isolation, and 7,956 not in active isolation. The CAR Score is 0.2.


Governor Leon Guerrero Signs Executive Order No. 2021-11
Today, Governor Lou Leon Guerrero signed Executive Order No. 2021-11, relative to launching the All RISE Program by expanding eligibility for the Recovery Income Support and Empowerment (RISE) Act, and orders such that:

  • In addition to individuals designated as eligible to receive payments under Public Law No. 35-136, otherwise known as the RISE Act, employees of both local and federal governments and their retirees, during the tax year 2020 shall be eligible to receive such payments pursuant to this Executive Order, subject to the remaining eligibility requirements, conditions and limitations provided in the RISE Act. The expanded program established herein, which shall include the initial RISE Program established in Public Law No. 35-136 and the expanded eligibility provided in this order, shall be known as the All RISE Program.
  • The Department of Revenue and Taxation (DRT) is to administer the All RISE Program and distribute payments to eligible individuals.
  • DRT shall implement the All RISE Program within thirty (30) working days of the identification of funds for these purposes.
  • Delivery of payments and reporting requirements for the All RISE Program will be as provided in the RISE Act.
  • The DRT director is designated as the official responsible for overseeing the All RISE Program.

GDOE Employee Tests Positive for COVID-19
Today, the Guam Department of Education (GDOE) confirmed one case in which an individual tested positive for COVID-19. The individual has been identified as an employee at Liguan Elementary School. In collaboration with DPHSS, GDOE is conducting contact tracing to identify and notify individuals who were in close contact with the employee. These individuals will be placed in quarantine and/or isolation until they are cleared by DPHSS. Areas of the school campus have been cleaned and disinfected. Regular hours of operation will continue on Thursday, May 27, 2021.

Free COVID-19 Testing Schedule
COVID-19 community testing continues. No symptoms are needed to qualify for testing. Bring a photo ID. Testing for travel purposes will not be conducted at these community testing sites. Individuals seeking COVID-19 testing to travel off-island may contact the Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) Northern Region Community Health Center at 635-7525/6 to schedule an appointment. Priority is given to those who are traveling for medical purposes. For the safety of the community and nurses, only four (4) people per vehicle are allowed to be tested. The Guam Department of Education (GDOE), State Agency for the Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) under the U.S. Department of Agriculture Food Nutrition Service distribution will be available to village constituents only on a first-come, first-served basis.
