Governor Leon Guerrero Signs Executive Order No. 2021-12
Today, Governor Lou Leon Guerrero signed Executive Order No. 2021-12, relative to extending the public health emergency declaration to respond to COVID-19, and orders such that:

  • Effective June 1, 2021, the public health emergency shall be extended for an additional thirty (30) days and is now set to expire on Thursday, July 1, 2021
  • Guam continues to be in Pandemic Condition of Readiness 3 (PCOR 3)

DPHSS Issues Guidance Memo 2020-11 Rev 11 (Amendment 2)
Today, the Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) issued Guidance Memorandum 2020-11 Rev 11 (Amendment 2) regarding the acceptance of immunization records between the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) and Guam as proof of COVID-19 vaccination. 

DPHSS and the CNMI Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation (CHC) have mutually agreed to accept official immunization records as proof of COVID-19 vaccination for passengers seeking exemption from quarantine upon arrival in Guam; and for those entering CNMI, these official immunization records represent one component of the requirements to be eligible for no quarantine.

COVID-19 Vaccination Verification
In line with DPHSS Guidance Memo 2020-11 REV 11, the University of Guam (UOG) Call Center is assisting DPHSS with requests for vaccine verification. From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays, individuals who received the COVID-19 vaccine on Guam may request their secondary form of vaccination verification by calling the following numbers:

Callers must provide their name, date of birth and date(s) of vaccination. Vaccination verification requests may only be made ten (10) working days after the second dose in a two-dose series, or ten (10) days after a single dose series. Processing may take up to 72 hours. Once instructed by a call center representative, individuals may pick up their verifications at UOG from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. between Monday and Wednesday.


Results: Two New Cases of COVID-19
Two (2) new cases of COVID-19 were identified out of 448 tests performed Thursday, May 27. To date, there have been a total of 8,156 officially reported cases of COVID-19 with 139 deaths, 55 cases in active isolation, and 7,962 not in active isolation. The CAR Score is 0.2.

Free COVID-19 Testing Schedule
COVID-19 community testing continues. No symptoms are needed to qualify for testing. Bring a photo ID. Testing for travel purposes will not be conducted at these community testing sites. Individuals seeking COVID-19 testing to travel off-island may contact the DPHSS Northern Region Community Health Center at 635-7525/6 to schedule an appointment. Priority is given to those who are traveling for medical purposes. For the safety of the community and nurses, only four (4) people per vehicle are allowed to be tested. Food Commodities Distribution Continues
The Guam Department of Education (GDOE), State Agency for the Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) under the U.S. Department of Agriculture Food Nutrition Service distribution will be available to village constituents only on a first-come, first-served basis. A limit of three households per vehicle will be serviced at the distributions. Face masks must be worn. Bring a photo ID. Village Mayors distribution schedule is as follows:

Yigo

Drive-thru distribution is from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the Yigo Gymnasium for Yigo constituents only, while supplies last. Individuals carpooling are asked to obtain a Yigo Mayor’s verification prior to the distribution date to verify they are residing in a separate household. In an effort to provide opportunity for all constituents to pick-up food commodities, there will be a limit of one bag per household. If there are remaining bags from the drive-thru distribution, the Yigo Mayor’s staff will deliver door-to-door beginning on June 1. Those who did not receive a bag for various reasons (i.e. no transportation, elderly persons, etc.) will be prioritized.
