Two GFD Employees Test Positive for COVID-19
Today, a Guam Fire Department (GFD) emergency medical dispatcher and a firefighter tested positive for COVID-19. After immediate sanitization of the individual’s workstation, the relocation of the E911 Center and personnel to the Guam Fire Department (GFD) headquarters was initiated. This temporary relocation was necessary to allow the GFD decontamination team to conduct a thorough decontamination of the entire space, equipment, and appliances. The E-911 Center experienced no disruption of services. Decontamination also took place at the station, vehicles and common areas of Rescue Base 2. Although employees at the E911 Center and Rescue Base 1 have been wearing masks and following social distancing guidelines while on duty, other members on duty with the positive members have been scheduled for PCR testing Thursday.

Three GDOE Employees Test Positive for COVID-19
Today, the Guam Department of Education (GDOE) confirmed separate incidents where three employees tested positive for COVID-19, one case each at Wettengel Elementary School,  Vicente S.A. Benavente Middle School, and Liguan Elementary School. The GDOE, in collaboration with DPHSS, has identified and notified all close contacts who will remain in quarantine until they are cleared by DPHSS. Areas of the campuses have been cleaned and disinfected and are ready for regular hours of operation.
