Accessibility OptionsCumulative COVID-19 Test Results: 29 New Cases Reported April 23 – 25
From April 23 – 25, 2022, the Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) reported 29 new cases of COVID-19. Twelve of the cases reported today is through the Department of Defense. The 29 new cases does not include cases previously reported in JIC Release No. 1030 and 1031. The breakdown of the cumulative results is below:

April 25: Two of 135 test positive for COVID-19

April 24: 11 of 263 test positive for COVID-19 (five cases previously reported).

April 23: 34 of 636 test positive for COVID-19 (13 cases previously reported).
To date, there have been a total of 47,973 officially reported cases, 354 deaths, 177 cases in active isolation, and 47,442 not in active isolation.

SPECIAL NOTE: Based on today's data, if we were to compare two (2) hypothetical populations of 100,000 people each, vaccinated versus unvaccinated, there would be 2 vaccinated people hospitalized for COVID-19 compared to 0 unvaccinated people hospitalized for COVID-19. *Estimated population is based on DPHSS Immunization Program analysis of 2020 Census data. Updates are expected pending further Census 2020 data breakdown.
Second COVID-19 Booster Doses Available
Second doses of the COVID-19 booster are available to individuals ages 12 years and older who are moderately or severely immunocompromised. Eligible individuals may choose to receive a second booster dose using an mRNA (Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna) COVID-19 vaccine at least 4 months after the first booster dose.
Additionally, adults between the ages of 18 and 49 who are not moderately or severely immunocompromised and who received Janssen COVID-19 Vaccine as both their primary series dose and booster dose may receive a second booster dose using an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine at least 4 months after the Janssen booster dose.
Adults ages 50 years and older could benefit from a second mRNA booster dose as they are at increased risk for severe COVID-19. Adults 50 years and older may choose to receive a second booster dose, if it has been at least 4 months after the first booster dose.

Food Commodities Distribution Continues April 26
GDOE, State Agency for the Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) under the U.S. Department of Agriculture Food Nutrition Service distribution will be available to village constituents only on a first-come, first-served basis. Distribution is limited to three households per vehicle at the sites. Face masks must be worn; bring a photo ID.

Guam COVID-19 Vaccination Update
As of April 23, 2022, a total of 136,306 of Guam’s eligible population (residents 5 years and older) is fully vaccinated. This total includes 13,890 residents 12 – 17 years old. 7,903 residents 5 – 11 years old received their first dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech two dose series. 6,280 residents 5 – 11 years old have completed their two-dose series. A total of 58,127 eligible residents have received their first booster shots. A total of 2,302 eligible residents have received their second booster shots.
